Rising Stars Omnibus

L’intera saga di Rising Stars, la rivisitazione dell’epopea supereroistica fatta dal grande J. Michael Straczynski, raccolta in un elegante (ed enorme!) volume. All'interno troverete i 24 numeri della serie introdotti da una prefazione scritta da Neil Gaiman!

Qua sono stati molto più scarni di presentazioni invece, e tocca lavorà a me. Rising Stars è una serie pubblicata dalla Image tra la fine dei '90 e l'inizio dei '00. Una notte una cometa cade nei pressi di una cittadina americana e rende prene le donne del circondario. 9 mesi dopo nascono 113 bambini, gli Specials, tutti dotati di qualche tipo di superpotere. Sti bimbi crescono e diventano adulti ed ognuno sceglie la propria strada, chi per il bene, chi per i soldi, chi se ne sbatte la ciolla. Fatto st che quando muore uno special l sua forza viene trasferita a quelli ancora invita, e quando salta fuori un assassino seriale che li prende di mira si mettono un po' tutti in allarme...

Saga, un po' tutto

Marko e Alana hanno combattuto per opposte fazioni in una guerra millenaria. Ora combattono insieme per proteggere la famiglia che, insieme, stanno costruendo. La storia più vecchia del mondo, ragazzo incontra ragazza, viene declinata in modo inedito, epico in una space opera dai toni profondamente accorati da Brian K. Vaughan, qui al suo ritorno al fumetto seriale dopo "Y", "L'ultimo uomo" ed "Ex Machina". Disegni e colori di Fiona Staples.

Un po' tutto perché la Bao ristampa i volumi 1 e 2 prima di distribuire il 3, tutto questo mese.

Di Saga ho scritto qualcosina a fine anno scorso nel listone Best of 2013 (dove vedete anche la cover del terzo volume, qua affinaco c'è quella del primo per non essere ridondanti)
